Hengam is a passionate development professional and an aspiring social science researcher. She holds a post-graduate degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. Her career has been a diverse journey, spanning NGOs and government bodies at the grassroots level. Fluent in multiple regional languages, her expertise lies in women's rights, indigenous communities, social media advocacy, environmental issues, and education. She is a recipient of the Laadli Media and Advertisement Award and, is currently actively engaged in a movie project as the director, exploring gender and race complexities in Delhi.
As a Programme Manager at Adhyayan, she leverages her deep understanding of Arunachal Pradesh's socio-cultural landscape and tribal studies to make a difference.
In her leisure time, Hengam immerses herself in research, exploring the rich cultural tapestry of Arunachal's tribes. She is also an avid music enthusiast and enjoys capturing life's moments through videography. At Adhyayan, she aims to blend her diverse experiences to drive meaningful change and inspire innovation in education.
